It has been years in the making, but we finally have a sense of what to expect from the 2019 Subaru Ascent, officially the largest SUV the automaker ever has built. Essentially, what we have seen from the all-new model is a larger, three-row SUV that looks great for families, not only because it is filled to the brim with great features but also because it is stacked with impressive advanced safety features and driving dynamics, as well.
Subaru engineers appear to understand that a big part of what Subaru customers love about 2017 Subaru models is their ability to be comfortable yet rugged, and the Subaru Ascent will follow in that tradition. It effectively looks like a larger version of the popular Subaru Outback, but with a third row of seats (the SUV can fit up to eight people in total) that fold down to create a 7-foot-long flat load space. This means it’s every bit as capable of appealing to adventure junkies as it is to family-focused customers here in Toms River, NJ.
All-wheel drive will be standard, naturally, as will impressive performance features, including hill descent control. It has 19 cupholders, eight USB ports for charging devices while driving, and even its own 4G WiFi hotspot.
With all that space, all those modern features, all those safety features, and of course all that potential for adventure, the 2019 Subaru Ascent is one of the most exciting forthcoming models we’ve seen here at Lester Glenn Subaru. While it won’t arrive at our building until next year, we have plenty of other new and used Subaru models available to test drive right now, all of which boast that same performance and adventurous spirit!
