September marked the end of many wonderful things, including summer weather, vacations with the kiddos, and the opportunity to wear white whenever you want. While all of that was hard to let go of, September turned out to be a pretty remarkable month for Subaru of America, Inc., which celebrated its best sales month ever thanks to 53,070 unit sales for a 28-percent jump over September 2014. The previous monthly sales record was established in August of this year and promptly bested.
In addition to this remarkable accomplishment, September was the third month in a row that the manufacturer celebrated an all-time monthly sales record in the United States. Finally, September 2015 was the 19th consecutive month that the brand earned more than 40,000 vehicle sales.
Year to date, the automaker has achieved 428,702 unit sales for a 14-percent increase over January through September of 2014. In addition, it was the 46th consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains. Last month also saw the best September sales ever for the following models:
- Subaru Outback sales increased 34 percent
- Subaru XV Crosstrek saw a 30-percent sales gain
- Subaru WRX/STI sales grew 159 percent over September 2014
- Subaru Impreza jumped 38 percent over the same month last year
- Subaru Forester grew 22 percent over September 2014
But the great numbers continue to add up. After all, last month the automaker achieved 10,000 units sales across each of the Subaru Forester and Subaru Outback model lines for the 26th and 19th months in a row, respectively.
