The “Take the Subaru” ad offers a playful spin on the premise that every parent’s worry is that their child will never stop finding new and incredible ways to injure themselves. The ad has a number of kids on the brink of doing something dangerous or risky and the parent stepping in at the last second to intervene. Once the kids are old enough to drive, they ask if they can take the new Subaru model out for a drive, and because the new Subaru is so safe and reliable, the parent allows them to do so. The “I’m Sorry” ad features teenage drivers calling their parents to let them know they were in an accident and fearing the repercussions. The spot shows the parents far less concerned about the status of the vehicle and more happy that their Subaru model kept their child safe.

Alan Bethke, senior vice president of marketing, Subaru of America, Inc., had this to say about the commercials and the Subaru brand’s commitment to safety:

We are proud that Subaru continues to be the trusted vehicle of choice for so many families who recognize the importance of safety for our young drivers. With these new spots, we are happy to reinforce the brand’s commitment to building and honoring this trust and keeping our driver’s safe on the road.
