Earlier this summer, Subaru of America, Inc. was named the Most Trusted Brand and Best Overall Brand by Kelley Blue Book.com. In honor of this recognition, Subaru launched its new “Proud to Earn Your Trust” television spot. The TV spot is a compilation of some of the brand’s most iconic “Love” ads and looks back on each of the emotional moments that have contributed to the brand earning the trust of scores of Subaru customers and drivers. The ad ends with the brand’s iconic message: “Love. It’s what makes a Subaru, a Subaru.” Keep reading to find out more!
The new television spot will air throughout the months of July, August, and September on cable television and network late night programming. The “Proud to Earn Your Trust” spot has callbacks to a few of the most memorable and iconic Subaru “Love” ads from over the years. It shows scenes from the first year of the campaign with the “Welcoming Party” ad that shows a group of brothers traveling to Maine on New Year’s Eve to watch the first sunrise of the year to an owner dropping off his old Subaru Forester to be sold as parts. Alan Bethke, senior vice president of marketing at Subaru of America, had this to say about the new campaign:
Over the past eight years, we’ve seen our Love campaign resonate incredibly well with consumers, who often feel a personal, emotional connection to the brand and the stories we’ve told. With this new spot, Subaru gives a nod to the past while continuing to move forward in earning and maintaining the trust of our owners.
Subaru was recognized by Kelley Blue Book as the winner in three major categories of the 2016 Brand Image Awards, including Best Overall Brand, Most Trusted Brand, and Best Performance Brand.
