Last month, Kelley Blue Book announced that Subaru of America, Inc. had won three major awards in the 2016 Brand Image Awards, including Best Overall Brand, Most Trusted Brand, and Best Performance Brand! This the first time that the Subaru won for Best Overall Brand and second consecutive year for Most Trusted Brand and Best Performance Brand. The Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards are handed out each year to recognize automakers and their achievements in creating and maintaining brand attributes that capture the attention of consumers and drivers. Winners are chosen based on data that Kelley Blue Book’s Strategic Insights division gathered for the Brand Watch study. The Brand Watch study examines such factors like affordability, driving comfort, driving performance, durability/reliability, exterior styling, fuel efficiency, safety, interior layout, prestige/sophistication, reputation, ruggedness, and technology. More than 12,000 new car shoppers voiced their opinions about what they believe to be the most outstanding automakers in various categories. The Brand Image Awards uses all this data to rank vehicle manufacturers and determine the winners.
