Subaru of America, Inc., achieved just that last month by earning its best-ever sales month in company history. The previous record of 50,517 unit sales, set in July 2015, was shattered by the 52,679 unit sales made last month. This figure also helped the brand see a five percent sales jump over August 2014. What’s more, the automaker also reported year-to-date sales of 375,632 units for a 13-percent increase over January through August of last year.
As if all of these accomplishments were not enough, August 2015 also pushed the brand to its 18th consecutive month of more than 40,000 unit sales. In particular, last month saw the following model lines achieve their best August sales ever:
- Subaru Forester sales grew seven percent in August 2015
- The Subaru XV Crosstrek saw a seven-percent sales increase
- The Subaru Impreza earned a 19-percent sales increase
- The Subaru WRX/STI enjoyed a 128-percent jump in sales
But that’s still not all. August 2015 sales marked the best month ever for the Subaru Forester and Subaru XV Crosstrek model lines along with the 25th consecutive month that the automaker has seen more than 10,000 Subaru Forester sales and the 18th consecutive month of more than 10,000 Subaru Outback sales. Finally, August 2015 was the 45th month in a row that the Subaru brand achieved year-over-year sales growth.
