Earlier this summer, our team was thrilled to learn that three of our dynamic and impressive new Subaru SUVs had won their segment at the 2016 AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards. The 2016 Subaru Outback earned the Best-in-Class for Premium Mid-Size Crossover award, while the 2016 Subaru Forester won the Best-in-Class Midsize Crossover SUV and the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek won the Best-in-Class honor for the Compact Crossover Class. AutoPacific Inc. is an automotive research and consulting firm that surveys owners of new 2015 and 2016 model year vehicles across all major manufacturers after 90 days of ownership. The national survey asked over 65,000 drivers 15 questions about what, if anything, they would change about their new vehicle. Drivers responded and recommended changes in five main areas, including ride and handling, interior storage, safety features, power and acceleration, and technology. George Peterson, president of AutoPacific, had this to say about the AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards:
By asking vehicle owners if they would change various aspects of their vehicle if given the opportunity, we not only identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement, but we also find out which manufacturers are truly hitting the mark with owners.
