At Lester Glenn Subaru, we are proud of our brand’s wide appeal, and we truly feel that we can help each of our customers in Lakehurst find the perfect new Subaru model for his or her individual driving needs. This sentiment was proven recently as Subaru of America was recognized with the “Best Overall Mainstream Brand” Residual Value Award from the analytics division of TrueCar, Inc., known as ALG. The organization is viewed as a leading authority on projecting vehicle values as well as depreciation data.
The following Subaru vehicles received ALG awards, and all five models also claimed the top spot in their respective vehicle segments:
- The 2016 Subaru Crosstrek was named the Best Compact Car.
- The 2016 Subaru WRX was named the Best Sports Car.
- The 2016 Subaru Forester was named the Best Compact Utility vehicle.
- The 2016 Subaru Legacy was named the Best Midsize Car.
- The 2016 Subaru Outback was named the Best Midsize Utility vehicle.
ALG Residual Value Awards are presented each year to the vehicles and brands that ALG expects to retain the highest percentage of their original price following a three-year ownership period. In evaluating 2016 model year vehicles, ALG handed out segment awards to 26 vehicles on top of honoring two brands with Mainstream (that’s us!) and Premium sector achievements. Winners are selected based on a detailed review of each segment as well as industry trends and historical performance, with ALG adding marketing strategies, quality and production levels relative to demand as key factors.
Since 2010, the Subaru brand has earned an incredible 18 ALG Residual Value awards and was also named the “Best Overall Mainstream Brand” in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
