Earlier this month, Subaru of America introduced the all-new 2018 Subaru WRX and the all-new 2018 Subaru WRX STI, both of which feature a whole array of new performance, comfort, design, and safety enhancements that combine to create a more rewarding all-around driving experience! Both models will debut a restyled front fascia that showcases a sportier and more aggressive attitude that is highlighted by a more pronounced grille design. All models also come with redesigned LED Steering Responsive Headlights and new roof rack mounting brackets. Once inside, you’ll find a cabin with upgraded interior materials and a quiet and comfortable ride.
The 2018 Subaru WRX will feature a 2.0-liter direct injection turbocharged four-cylinder BOXER engine with an output of 268 horsepower and comes paired to symmetrical all-wheel-drive and active torque vectoring. It comes paired to a six-speed manual transmission while a performance automatic transmission is optional.
The 2018 Subaru WRX STI is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder BOXER engine that delivers 305 horsepower and features multi-mode driver controlled center differential symmetrical all-wheel drive, multi-mode vehicle dynamics control, and active torque vectoring.
New features on both models include upgraded materials, a larger high-definition multi-function display, and the available SUBARU STARLINK 7.0-inch multimedia interface. It also features a number of new safety technologies including EyeSight Driver Assist technology. Its revised front end is designed to create enhanced performance in frontal collisions.
