The North American International Auto Show is quickly approaching, and you know what that means – exciting new vehicle debuts that we’ve all been dying to see. One Detroit reveal we are especially psyched for? The all-new Subaru WRX STI S209. The sporty vehicle is the most recent special edition built by Subaru Tecnica International. The branch typically builds models that aren’t ever seen in the United States. In fact, the automaker’s teaser video was titled, “From Japan with Love.”
The 2019 Subaru WRX was deemed the “best-handling, best-performing WRX. Ever.” And the special edition version just grows from there. The 2020 Subaru WRX STI S209 is expected to have a new Direct Injection Turbo engine that is estimated to generate over 330 horsepower. However, we’re unsure yet if the vehicle will utilize the Japanese engine or the American version. We do know the vehicle will have a wide-body kit, front dive planes, and an over-sized rear wing that have all been spotted in the teaser video.
