The 2024 Subaru BRZ receives a new and improved version of the brand’s legendary BOXER® engine. The outgoing model’s 2.0-liter engine is swapped out for a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter engine delivering 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. The added power is put to especially good use in the Limited trim, which shaves a full second off last year’s time from 0 to 60 miles per hour.
The power isn’t all that’s improved. You will notice better steering feedback, cornering, and control, with the tS trim also receiving a new Hitachi suspension system. Also ask your Subaru dealer about a new package combining 18-inch wheels with Brembo® brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires on Dark Gray Metallic wheels.

The Subaru BRZ is one of the last stubborn holdouts to offer a manual transmission. In years past, this was a mixed blessing. On one hand, you got the fun of a manual gearbox; on the other, you didn’t get the Subaru EyeSight® safety suite on manual-equipped models.
