Last month, Subaru of America, Inc. announced that the exciting and impressive 2017 Subaru BRZ sports car would feature comprehensive updates to its handling, performance, style, and comfort and convenience features. The 2017 Subaru BRZ will feature a 2.0-liter SUBARU BOXER engine that generates 205 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque. It comes paired to a six-speed manual transmission. It also features a lower final driver ratio from 4.1 to 4.3:1 and comes paired to a standard Torsen limited-slip differential that improves acceleration. The engine also received several internal updates for friction reduction including new valves, camshaft, and cylinder heads.
The Subaru brand also increased its focus on the driver experience by instituting several key updates in the cockpit. New on some trim levels is a new 4.2-inch LCD multifunction display that provides readout information regarding vehicle performance, accelerator pedal position, braking force, steering angle, oil and water temperature, and more. Interior features include a 6.2-inch high-resolution touchscreen display, HD Radio, the Subaru brand’s STARLINK telematics system with smartphone integration with Pandora, iHeart Radio, Sticher, and more. It also features a rearview camera and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity. Comfort and convenience features include dual-mode heated front seats, heated side mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless access with push-button start, and more!
